JMPUK would like to formally welcome Ryan Hiscott, who has joined our staff as a full-time photographer.
Ryan, who previously worked with Swansea City and Newport County among other clients, settled in at JMP over the summer and has made a really positive start in his role.
He has already shown his versatility and flexibility, shooting corporate events, portraits, kit launches and live music in addition to live sport.
Managing director Joe Meredith said: “As an agency, we’re getting busier, with some new contracts coming in over the summer and our existing clients upping their requirements.
“So it was important for us to have another full-time photographer to work alongside Rogan Thomson and Robbie Stephenson. I had been looking at Ryan’s work over the past year and saw a young photographer who was improving at a hugely impressive rate. I was initially impressed not only by his sports photography but also his feature and portrait work.
“He has great enthusiasm, is willing to learn, and has built a good relationship with the rest of our team and our clients. I’ve been really happy with his work and think he has a really big future as a photographer.”
Ryan said: “Joining JMP has given me the opportunity to shoot everything that I wanted to and more – from the normality of shooting football on a Saturday through to late night concerts, meeting James Blunt.
“It’s given me an insight into a variety of sports, and with plenty to shoot off the field I’ve been able to shoot dinners, kit launches and even kids shoots for a garden centre.
“It’s not just the work that attracted me to working at JMP, but the team within it. It was reassuring to come into a team of seasoned professionals who were more concerned with my personal progression than the number of publications I got from a game.
“With nurturing, I’ve been able to learn and develop, which in the space of three months I’d like to think can be seen in my work. Admittedly, I took the crash course into JMP life with the trip to Iceland – it’s hard not to get to know people when you’re in and out of a car with them for 3 days! But if anything it aligned with my hopes coming into this… JMP was the place for me.”
JMP account manager Katie Dawes said: “Having worked closely with Ryan since he joined JMP, he has not only impressed myself and our team but also our large portfolio of clients.
“He is clearly passionate and a very talented photographer, but having been on-site and watched Ryan working, his personality and communication skills make him a wonderful asset to the JMP family.”
