We are JMP.  We are based in Bristol but we work across the country – and beyond – for an amazing portfolio of clients, including Sky Bet, Rugby Football Union and EFL.  We are a small-but-perfectly-formed production company with big aspirations and a fantastic team already in place.  But we feel we can improve our productivity and our quality – and that could be where you come in.

We’re looking for a creative, motivated and organised Video Editor to join our growing video production team at JMPUK.  As our reputation grows, so does our workload, and we require a talented, innovative and organised Editor to join our Bristol-based team.  Reporting directly to the Director of Content and Campaigns, you will be comfortable with fast turnarounds, with collaborating with a talented team, and with working on multiple video projects simultaneously.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with leading brands to produce high-end video content for digital
  • Raise our bar in terms of creativity in post-production
  • Working with our other fantastic editors, problem-solving any challenges that arise and optimising and evolving the film process
  • Work alongside our senior team to agree on and create edit schedules
  • Manage timings and deadlines
  • Liaise with clients on ongoing edits
  • Commercial responsibility for edits, ensuring any jobs are efficient and in line with costings
  • Develop our team’s visual storytelling

Required skills and experience:

  • You will ideally have at least 3-4 years’ agency/production company experience
  • Superb planning and communication skills
  • You are a team player who can work across all teams and stages of projects
  • A high-end production – and social-first – mindset in edits
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Premiere Suite
  • Able to carry out high-level visual effects work, e.g. motion graphics and compositing (ideally in After Effects)
  • Strong understanding of the various aspects of post-production workflow: from edit to grade, post and sound design
  • Compelling portfolio/showreel of video-editing work
  • Strong attention to detail and ‘can do’ attitude
  • Knowledge of sport (in particular football) is desirable
  • Able to drive new initiatives in edits
  • Want and willing to develop and grow within the team – ambition is key 
  • Ability to be flexible with working hours
  • Happy to work in a smaller team environment
  • Used to working with a range of clients: agency creative, account managers, direct to brand
