AT JMP, we are already planning for the 2019/20 football season with several of our clients – which means a chance to look back on what we achieved in 2018/19.

We work with various brands in sport, including EFL title sponsors Sky Bet, who recently won a prestigious industry award for a campaign in which we played a key role.

Sky Bet landed the Best Social Marketing Campaign award at the EGR Marketing & Innovation Awards 2019 – held at the Tower of London last week – with judges praising the “interesting and varied content which leveraged [the] EFL partnership well” and “strong cut-through and engagement”.

As an agency, we were heavily involved in the planning, shooting, editing and delivery of a vast majority of this content, and our partners at Sky Bet were quick to share with us the news of their awards success and thank us for our contribution.

The award itself was a feather in the cap for everyone who has worked on Sky Bet’s EFL content – and collectively we have big plans to take this content to another level during the upcoming season.

During the 2018/19 season, we delivered key content strands for Sky Bet such as Changing Places with Jimmy Bullard, the five episodes of which gained 3.5 million views across Facebook and YouTube alone.

Our Football’s Real Stories video with Joe Thompson – who twice battled back from cancer to score the goal that saved his hometown club Rochdale from relegation – gained 5.1 million impressions on Facebook.

And across the various platforms and content strands, there were many similar stories of the content we produced delivering impressive views and engagement.

Sky Bet’s head of social & content, Kevin Brain, said: “JMP are a true partner for us at Sky Bet. They have embraced our ambition and are able to offer us a full service right through from research to pre & post-production.

“In a world where brands are looking more and more to fast turnaround ‘premium social’ output that is affordable, JMP could not be better placed.”

JMP’s managing director, Joe Meredith, said: “For Sky Bet to win such an important award is a great reflection of the hard work everyone has put in. I’m so proud of the part everyone in our team has played in producing this content for Sky Bet.

“Our team always go above and beyond on projects – and this ongoing relationship with Sky Bet is no different. We’re incredibly excited to be working with them again for the 2019/20 season and are looking forward to producing more great Sky Bet EFL content.”
